Inspection of Drill Pipe & Bottom Hole Assembly References will be made to the standards covering Manufacture and NDT
methods from API (Spec 7-1, 5DP) and the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers reference standard (ASME V). We will also cover the responsibility
of the inspector and what they should be reporting to the client.
Drillstring Manufacturing Awareness Designed for manufacturers and end-user support teams (procurement,
contracts team, administrators, stock controllers and receipt inspection
teams etc.) working as suppliers or as end users. This introduction
covers the requirements of NS-1™, DS-1®, API Spec7-1, API 5DP and
will help manufacturers to better understand the supplementary
requirements within NS-1 and enable in-house teams to function
in a more informed manner.
Drilling & Rental Tool Inspection Awareness The course will familiarise attendees with the requirements of Bottom
Hole Assembly rental tools manufacturing (NS-1TM, DS-1® and API Spec
7-1) and field inspection standards (NS-2,TM DS-1® and APR RP7G-2) and
will help attendees gain an understanding of these basic manufacturing
and inspection requirements and how to apply them as a supplier or

Volume 5 Edition 1 The Launch Newsletter for the new NS Accreditation & Standards web site and the release of the newly updated NS-3 Drillstring Design standard.
Volume 5 Edition 2 Our focus this issue is on Hardbanding and Drilling Asset Management.
As the number of complex wells grows the application of hardbanding to improve durability and lengthen the service of drill pipe is of increasing importance. As part of our commitment to minimizing the occurrence of unnecessary drilling equipment failure we look at the performance of hardbanding in several areas of our business.
Linked to this we have included articles discussing the Asset Management of Drill String equipment, from initial design stage to retirement.
Volume 5 Edition 3 This is the first time that we have opened up the circulation of our Newsletter to people who are not NS-1™ and NS-2™ subscribers.
